PROJECT SCOPE AND DELIVERABLES
AEDG engaged SIC to develop a predictive model that would estimate the quantitative impact of industry and household-level socio-economic developments upon regional economic activity, and consequently the county's fiscal budgetary allocations for a 5-year time horizon.
The project consisted of secondary research to identify, and appropriately prioritize, the most salient consequences of demographic, economic, and cultural changes upon different dimensions of urban fiscal planning. These insights helped inform the assumptions used within our model.
The team subsequently proceeded to conduct a statistical and financial analysis of the county's historical budget and its relation with the region's demographic and business activity over time. The results of this analysis shaped the final predictive model for the county's 5-year budget projections.
